FINE & RARE Midtown Manhattan, NYC
A spirit focused restaurant and cocktail bar featuring live jazz performed on a LED illuminated bandstand. Embracing a nostalgic decadence the design harkens back to old New York featuring vintage teller windows sourced from Grand Central. Personal liquor lockers span the space with bartender’s theatrically accessing the bottles with library style rolling ladders.
I assumed responsibility for the construction administration, directing the build out of a white box TI space. In charge of the sourcing and installation of the decorative finishes, lighting and major design features. Working on site and in our shop, I coordinated the design, fabrication and installation of key art installations and specially-sourced objects such as the oversized fireplace portico, laser cut wicker panels, and stage bandstand.
